Rosie, Maison Deglon's chef

Meet Rosie

Cook, host, and the heart of Maison Déglon.
A family legacy

The Déglon story

Rosie grew up cooking with her family, where the kitchen was always the heart of the home. After training in Paris, she opened two restaurants before moving to Amsterdam, where she worked as a private chef and later founded Chez Rosie, her pâtisserie. Six years later, she returned to Auvergne.
There, she came home to a story that began in 1921, when her great grandfather founded the Déglon kitchen knife company. While her brother continues the family business, Rosie has carried its spirit into Maison Déglon, a place where hospitality, craftsmanship, and seasonal cooking come together.
Created alongside her mother, Maison Déglon invites guests to slow down, cook with what the garden provides, and gather around the table in the simple pleasure of sharing a meal.
For Rosie, cooking isn’t about perfection. It is about generosity, seasonality, and creating moments that linger long after the last plate has been cleared.

Values

Rosie's philosophy

Years in the kitchen and life in Auvergne have shaped the way Rosie cooks, hosts, and welcomes guests.

Passion

Always learning. Always making. Always with the same positive energy.

Care

Thoughtful details make lasting memories. For our guests, for our team, and for every table we set.

Connection

Food is at the heart of it. The people and the connection come from what happens around the table.

Seasonality

Everything comes from what's naturally in season that’s grown in our garden or by local producers nearby.

The Déglon story

Founded in 1921, Déglon has always believed in craftsmanship that stands the test of time. Maison Déglon is an extension of that philosophy, where thoughtful hospitality, seasonal cooking, and everyday beauty come together. It is a place built not just to be admired, but to be lived in.
